The conference will be held at the Wyndham Nassau Resort in Nassau, The Bahamas. The dates of the meeting and our scientific program are unchanged. Please read the NEW details below and on our FAQ page. If your question is not answered, please email the IBNS Central Office. |

Call for Symposia FOR 2010:
The Program Committee is now soliciting proposals for symposia. for the
2010 IBNS Annual Meeting. A typical symposium includes 4 speakers and
is scheduled for 2 hours. Symposium proposals should include a title, the
name of the chairperson(s), a substantive description of the topic and
proposed talks, the list of speakers, their affiliations, and tentative
titles of their talks.
The deadline for priority consideration of symposium proposals is September 1, 2009. Please send your proposal to the Program Committee Chair, Dr. Wim Crusio at wim_crusio@yahoo.com and COPY the IBNS Central Office at ibns@ibnshomepage.org.
Presentation Guidelines:
POSTER SET UP TIME: You should plan to set up your poster prior to 10 a.m. on the day of your presentation. You should remove it after your poster session ends at 8:00 p.m.
ORAL PRESENTATIONS:
Oral presentations include 10 minutes for talk, 5 minutes for questions/answers. Your session chairperson will be in contact with you in advance of the session to load your talk onto the computer (PC) that will be used at the meeting. This is very important as we have a tight schedule and no time to change computers between talks. The typical presentation is done in PowerPoint for a PC. If you use a different program or Mac please discuss this with your session chairperson.
Travel Awardees should prepare for a 5-minute talk for the Slide Blitz.
Symposia
speakers have 20 minutes for their talk and 10 minutes for questions/answers.

All participants are requested to stay in the conference hotel and make reservations through the hotel using the group name (IBNS). IBNS has negotiated an extremely competitive room rate which, compared to the high quality of the hotel, is unusually low. The hotel is our conference site and thus it is the most convenient location for attendees. Last, the hotel was chosen after careful consideration of its amenities and services, its location and its features. Therefore, Conference attendees are highly encouraged to book their rooms in this hotel.
Our extremely competitive room rates negotiated with the hotel are dependent upon our guarantee to the hotel to fill a set number of rooms. Therefore, if you chose to book your room in an alternate hotel, we will have to charge you a registration fee increased by $100 to recover the penalties we will incur.
If you would like to share a room to defray expenses, please contact the IBNS Central Office by email.
IBNS Group Rates are $110 per room plus 12% taxes, per night for single or double occupancy and are based on European Plan (meals not included).
