FAQ's ... Frequently Asked Questions.

Should I contact the hotel in Mexico to cancel or will the Society take care of that for everyone?

You should contact the hotel in Mexico yourself to cancel your reservation. Please send an email to the Wyndham Grand Bay Isla Navidad at reservations@islaresort.com.mx.  Include your name, confirmation number (if you have it), the dates of travel and the group name "IBNS".

My flights are on Mexicana/US Airways. How does a flight change work when you are flying multiple airlines? According to their site, US Airways appears to be pretty flexible and could probably be applied toward the Bahamas ticket. Mexicana, however, does not offer refunds and credit from their airline obviously won't help me get to Bahamas. What do you suggest?

If our suggested travel agent, Ken Schneider, booked your flights, he will be able to help; he cannot help if the flights were booked by someone else. If you booked your own flights through Expedia or other online services you have to work through them. Generally, you should contact whoever booked your flight for accurate information.  The airlines are currently being flexible, but you may have to be persistent. Expedia has updates with links to most airlines at http://www.expedia.com/daily/edit/alerts/swine_flu0409.asp?mcicid=hp.flu0409&rfrr=-56694.

I just found a flight to Nassau on Expedia for $273. I paid $818 for my ticket to Manzanillo. Big Difference... let others know...those who were turned off by the high airfares to Mexico might be able to attend.

We believe that many will find less expensive flights even if they have to pay a change fee.
