The International Behavioral Neuroscience Society (IBNS) was formed to encourage research and education in the field of behavioral neuroscience. Founded in 1992, the IBNS has approximately 719 members which derive from 36 different countries and consist of scientists, clinicians, teachers, and others with a background and interest in the relationship between brain and behavior. Annual meetings of the Society are held in late spring/early summer each year, with the locations varying to reflect the international nature of the IBNS. The next IBNS meeting will be held June 9 – 14, 2009, at the Wyndham Grand Bay, Isla Navidad Resort in Manzanillo, Mexico. Hotel website: http://www.wyndham.com/hotels/ZLOGB/main.wnt
Members receive discounted registration fees. Abstracts will be accepted from members and nonmembers alike. Symposia proposals are currently being accepted.
Please come by and visit with IBNS members at booth #3322 during the Society for Neuroscience meeting in Washington DC. IBNS will also sponsor a reception on Sunday, November 16, 2008, 6;30-8:30 p.m. at the Renaissance Washington DC Hotel, Rooms 10-11, open to all SFN attendees who are interested in behavioral neuroscience.
